The worlds first electric powered super car is now a reality. 0-60mph in 4 seconds, this really is a first for an electric powered car. The chassis is built by Lotus Elise, then powered up in silicon valley CA, the Tesla has a road range of 250 miles. This car can even stand up to the Ferrari and the Porsche's, but not to some critics, who im sure will tear this thing to pieces.
Basically are electric powered cars really the answer to our fuel problems?
We still have to plug them in to charge, still using masses of power, just because they dont emit Carbon gases, dosent mean that they dont have a carbon footprint, maybe an even bigger footprint than a normal petrol powered car.
The Tesla Roadster might go into production in 2008, this has yet to be seen, with other companies having electric cars, like the Monaco based Venturi, this costing 3 times more than the Tesla, the fight for the Electric Powered Super Car has now begun.
