In the last week, we have seen the Nigerian man, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab trying to blow up a passenger plane over United States Airspace. It has now been announced that Airline Pilots will be allowed to carry firearms on board flights. Many pilots were going to lose their permission to carry firearms on midnight, New Years Eve. The Department of Homeland Security DHS, has extended the permission by 6 months, because of recent events.
